Congrats mommas, you have survived another holiday! Easter has passed and next up on the calendar is Mother’s Day. A day to celebrate all that we do for our babies (and our hubbies!).
So whether you’re looking for ideas to treat yourself, or you’re treating a momma who is near and dear to you, you are in the right place!
I can’t think of a time where I appreciated people’s kindness more than when I had an infant. And especially when I was breastfeeding. You are literally at your child’s beck and call 24/7. It’s a beautiful time and an exhausting time!
Treat a breastfeeding mom to a great Mother’s Day gift (or any day gift!) this year!
1 – Healthy Snacks
Every breastfeeding momma needs to have a stash of healthy snacks on her at all times! In her purse, in the car, in her nursing station basket, in the nightstand drawer…
Grab a cute basket or storage cube (something reusable) and load it up with some yummy and healthy snacks like these:
- granola bars
- beef jerky
- rice cakes
- pumpkin seeds
- dried fruit
- candy bar (because… chocolate)
2 – A New Book
It’s great to have a book handy during nursing sessions. Whether it’s a physical book or a new e-book, mom will appreciate a new read!
A gift that keeps on giving!
One of my worst fears when I was breastfeeding was leaking through my shirt. So I used those crinkly and scratchy disposable nursing pads… until I found these bad boys! They are quiet, odorless, and absorbent! #winning
4 – Nursing Scarf
A little style and a lot of coverage!
With one of these cuties momma will be able to easily some a pop of color to any outfit, and save some room in the diaper bag at the same time! No need to pack a nursing cover – just wear it!
Another great multi-use gift! These long fabric wraps are great for toting around your little one from newborn to toddler age, and they take up very little space in your purse or diaper bag.
They are also great for breastfeeding – simply slide baby and fabric to the side you are nursing on and viola, your are feeding baby hands free!
6 – Water Bottle
Hydrate. It’s the secret to keeping that liquid gold flowing!
These handy water bottles have an easy to use flip straw and it even comes with a handy clip to strap it to the diaper bag or stroller!
You might as well go ahead and get two because you know the bigger kids will want their own!
7 – Lanolin Cream
An absolute must have for breastfeeding mommas! It soothes and heals dry nipples and is safe for baby.
8 – Ice Packs
These cute orange packs can be used hot or cold. Perfect little helpers for engorgement, mastitis, and sore nipples!
9 – Nursing Shirt
These are the perfect addition to a nursing momma’s wardrobe. The split front design offers full coverage for public feedings.
10 – Teething Necklace
A cute and functional accessory? Yes please! These cute necklaces give baby something to hold on to while they are nursing (instead of mom’s hair), the wood and silicone beads are great teethers, and they are cute to boot!
Every nursing station needs a charging cord. You don’t want baby to slip into a milk-coma on your lap with a dead cell phone!
This two pack is just what a momma needs… one for the nursing station and one for next to the bed.
12 – Large Purse
Diaper bags are super practical, but they don’t always have the cutest designs. That might be a lie.
Let me rephrase that.
Cute diaper bags are ridiculously expensive!
So why not upgrade to a cute tote? There’s plenty of room for all of the mom-supplies you need, and there are so many fun colors to choose from!
Now go on and treat a momma (or yourself!) to a sweet Mother’s Day gift!
